This motel has been here for as long as I have been coming to the Island (40+ years!) and it is certainly dated but the six units have been well maintained and are comfortable for either a short stay or an extended one. The bathroom needs a serious gut and rebuild but the room itself was very large with a queen bed, pullout couch, dining table with 4 chairs, microwave, fridge, hot plate and even dishes and cutlery. There’s even a gazebo with a small BBQ and a lovely pool (though why you would swim in a pool with one of the area’s best beaches just a few blocks away is beyond me). This is a small village in Northern Ontario and it has its own charm. If you want a five star hotel and a fancy meal, stay in the Soo.
